The Threshold of Autumn Equinox

We are poised at the foot of Autumn Equinox.

In this liminal time where opposites hover in balance with one another, we get to experience a unification, and survey the landscape within our selves. How does it feel in you for the dynamic polar forces to meet, face to face?

There is a wholeness available here, that is only available to us two times a year.

I’ve been considering lately, how the equinoxes feel like moments of returning home after a long journey.

We depart, from this place of inner balance at equinox, to explore an aspect of duality more fully. We roam for six months: three months to seek out this peak of light or dark, and three months integrate these teachings and to return back home.

We have this exquisite moment at equinox to collect ourselves, to pause, to rest, to reset the course of our intentions, before departing on the next leg of our exploration, towards the opposite duality.

A very different journey, mind you. Though each journey, into the dark or into the light, holds equally important gifts.

Here we are, returning home after our journey to the Light. We’re at the moment where we take a look in our bag, and see what souvenirs we've kept from our travels abroad into the realm of Light.

You can assess what gifts have you gained:

  • What, of these mementos, want to stay with you, to be pressed into the energy field that you are, informing the You that is ever-expanding and learning?

  • What, of these mementos collected, can you offer back to the Earth in gratitude?

  • What can you give away now, to lighten your load? What is not needed for the journey to the deep cave of darkness?

The next six-month journey of darkness is oh-so beautiful.

It is just as beautiful as the journey to the light, especially when we allow ourselves to really take in and receive what it has to offer us.

I positioned the Golden Stone Immersion as a journey through the dark six months because it is the best time to uncover parts of ourselves that have laid hidden.

Just like in the night sky, when the sun is removed, we can see the glimmer of stars that were always there, just hidden by the brightness of the light.

In the dark six months of the year we can see the inner lights of our soul a little more clearly. It’s so supportive for shadow work, for deep listening, for slowing down and inviting our intuition forward.

It’s also a time when the spiritual realms are close. We can practice really listening to our inner truth and inner wisdom, alongside the myriad voices of the unseen realms that speak a little louder throughout the season.

Every year we have an opportunity to go deep. Every year we have an opportunity to harness the glistening depth of the darkness.

With what intention do you cross this threshold?
